Elie: Ajay, the Zen Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh passed away!
Ajay: I heard. He was another treasure trove, just like Birju Maharaj, the one we talked about last week. May his soul rest in peace!
Elie: Isnt he the one who coined the term socially engaged Buddhism?
Ajay: Yes, him. He is in fact considered second to Dalai Lama for his social commitment and peace movements.
Elie: Is that so?
Ajay: Hanh was exiled from Vietnam for opposing the war. But that didnt stop him from seeking what he believed in. He continued to spread his teachings on peace and Buddhism outside the country.
Elie: Wow, it seems his dedication to global peace and happiness is unmatchable.
Ajay: Yes. Nothing stopped Hanh from pursuing his calling in life. Likewise, Entrepreneurs shouldnt let anything stop them from chasing their dreams.
Elie: I agree! Ajay, has he influenced you in any manner?
Ajay: As a matter of fact, yes, Elie! A few years back when I was in a difficult situation, I recalled his quote For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them. It got me thinking and I decided to approach my situation from a different perspective.
Elie: Great! I believe it helped you get back on track.
Ajay: Indeed.
Elie: Amazing, Ajay!
Ajay: Every Entrepreneur should take that attitude in times of crisis. Instead of getting discouraged by difficulties, they should consider it as an opportunity to better themselves. The solution for every problem is out there, you only need to look in the right direction.
Elie: Youre right.
